In Spain we’ve seen Juan Tamariz on TV for decades. He’s funny, because not only he’s a magician, but a great actor. He’s the best card magician and the best entertainer, his tricks seem so simple and so impossible at the same time.

I saw him in person in the 90's in a friend's family reunion. Nicest famous person i've ever seen. He did the last trick in this video, but for like 3 minutes changing colors, numbers and in the end all cards were autographs and he gave one to my brother.

For me as a Spaniard, it is a pleasant surprise to see the enormous talent of Juan Tamariz recognized outside our borders. Tamariz is a genius forgotten by the public, but very loved and revered by magicians. Greetings and honor to you for doing this tribute.

thanks Chris for give the credit to Juan Tamariz that he deserves, I grew up with him in the early 80s, we kids love him more for his chaotic performance than the tricks, he was funny and too fast for kids, so we didn't have a chance more than surrender to this amazing and talented magician, applauding at the end with the invisible violin play. He always had a soft spot for kids.

I'm from Argentina. When I was a child I had a collection of VHS of Juan Tamariz, and I binged them over and over again. In a way, he introduced me into magic. So I love to see you paying respect to this man. Awesome! Thank you

I'm from Spain and I've always thought since I was a kid that Tamariz is one of the GOAT. 25 years later seeing him in your videos makes me smile. His legacy goes beyond time and countries. Thank you Chris for so much dedication and passion. You spread knowledge and joy to all the people that love magic!

Man, I’m in my 40s, I was lucky enough to watch him through the 80s and early 90s on Spanish tv on a weekly basis… he’s the most beloved magician to ever exist in Spain and this took me down memory lane… I even choked up a bit 😅.
Thanks for giving him the credit he deserves.

I am from Spain. I adored Tamariz when I was a child back in the early 90s. I remember asking Santa Claus the Tamariz Magic Box for beginners. Still to this day the quantity and quality of magic tricks that was inside that box is incredible.

I see him around town quite often, he doesn’t live far away from my house. People say that he used to welcome magicians from everywhere in his house once a year to share secrets and stories. What a great guy Tamariz

ChrisRamsay52 today you brought me into tears. I've been following your channel for so many years, and more recently you've brought up a lot of my favorite magicians from my childhood. But I would never, in my life, thought that I'd see a magician on your channel that I didn't recognize but at the same time would feel so much "that's him!!!!" kinda feeling. I know that I've seen a lot of things throughout my journey, he's always been around, but seeing this video got me so emotional because it's the exact video I was growing up with, without remembering seeing this video … until now! Holy cheese balls (!) what a wonderful experience! Thanks for letting the rest of the world know about señor Tamariz! <3

I'm from Spain and I grew up watching Juan Tamariz in children's shows. I was convinced, as a child, that he had magic powers. His performances were always absolutely absorbing and hypnotic, funny and entertaining. We loved the guy to bits, a genius!

I'm not really into magic now and I don't understand why this video was on my feed but I have seen the name of Juan Tamariz and I had to watch it. So many memories came to my mind about when I was a child watching him on TV with my family. Then I really liked magic because of him. His personality, entertaining and with that sense of humor, very chaotic but funny and kind at the same time. He's a really good storyteller, he knows how to catch everyone's attention with those stories that doesn't make magic boring just getting a card, he makes a story about seasons, about betting for a card, predicting future, always something different and fun to watch. That is entertaining. When we were kids we were always playing that imaginary violin he plays at the end of his tricks. I didn't know he was in English shows too. Happy to see him and have a laugh again with this video. Thank you for sharing 😊

I met him at his home in Madrid 25 years ago. I was singing christmas songs with my friends ("pidiendo el aguinaldo"), it´s like halloween´s trick or treat but in Christmas. He gave us money, candy and a few card tricks, it was an unforgettable moment.

In Spain Juan Tamariz is very well known and appreciated. I've been as espectator in one of his shows a couple of years ago. At one moment he was doing a trick with some cards. A camera was showing in a giant screen a very close view of his hands. He was moving the cards very very slowly. All of us saw how he, apparently, bypassed the card he should be moving (the one that he asked us to follow from the beginning and that we all thought we didn't miss from our sight at any moment) and moved another card instead. He stopped and said : "What? Do you think I bypassed this card? " and then proceed to show us the card...and it wasn't the one that everybody thought it was. He is a master at deceiving till the point that he has written books on how to control the audience. And it is known that the CIA has used some of his techniques. And he is also funny as Hell!

I grew up watching him on Spanish TV (this is actually the first I see him performing in basic English) and every time, including now, he cracks me into laughter. He is such a character, loved by so many, taught so many others. For me, he was pure golden comedy.
