It was emotionally overwhelming to see Jan saying his goodbyes to his professional career. Felt like a personal loss to me. He is truly a professional, humble and certainly the GOAT. My encounter with the sport began with Jan and Lionel. Will certainly miss Jan in races to come.

Those penalties represent the lack of situational awareness by IM and the enforcement of the "rules".

"Drafting" uphill on a steep incline (oxymoron all in itself), other pros didnt see a problem, but the IM "officals" sitting at a desk said otherwise and a year of racing is a wash. Surprised Jimmy Riccitello allowed this to happen.

"Littering" after not wanting to impale a volunteer and dropping as soon as safe. Again, no situational awareness by IM officals, just some officials with a title flexing. And in an instant, a year of training is swept away over a water bottle drop.

Absolutely absurd to ruin someones year over incidents that were CLEARLY not intentional nor a blatent disregard for the rules.
