Kali Linux fix no ethernet adapter

How to fix no ethernet adapter in Kali Linux.
1 - go to /etc/network/
2 - open the file " interfaces "
3 - type the following :
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp

4 - reboot the system

Hey, I tried doing this by using sudo and I managed to change the file. However, on reboot the file is resetting back to normal settings. I am using Kali Linux usb with persistence, so I thought it should save the file but it has not. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks.

Nice video, i tried this for eth1 to work on an opnsense static ip it did not work. when kali loads it only shows the lo and eth0 interfaces but not eth1. Can someone please help out ?

Nice video, but it doesnt help with the live Version. Only if the live mode in persistence..
Cause u can't do a sys restart with a live system that's not in persistent mode... how to bring up the network interface in live mode ?
