Riot Games Is Removing Toxic Bait Ping From League of Legends

The bait ping is getting "bait pinged"

As part of Riot Games' continued efforts to combat toxicity in League of Legends, the developers plan to remove the bait ping feature after "unacceptable" abuse by players.

the only way to stop toxic communication is to remove all forms of inter-player communication. And then the players will be upset because the game suffers from a lack of ways to communicate.

The more "tools" a person has to be toxic the less it will be. If you remove them from pinging they are just gpong to do something else like inting.

I usually played jungle a lot. The deleted signal function has always been used a lot. It's a big deal in the play. I don't think I'm going to play games anymore

man this was one of the most useful pings for me as a support player for camping bushes and they removed it, so stupid, change logo and color why remove it, also "Presure" and "All in" signs are the same shit and they removed this one that was actually useful and unique.

this change is so stupid the only reason it came about was because auberaun got spam pinged in a game preceding the change, got mad, and issued an update because of that. the change will only make league less fun and won't affect toxicity at all, people will just use different ways to convey their frustration. major corp my ass

No, the biggest change is clearly removing 'alive/dead' pings. There's no "if you're a toxic player" narrative, please don't spread that absolute vomit. This ping specifically is used waaay more for positive benifits or to show someone you like what they did. The bait ping, I guess? But in a game that only allows you to communicate with pings (bc there's no way any one is typing anything anymore) you can't assume the difference between genuine toxic flame and gentle ribbing for 'running into a wall' is always or majoritively actually just the 'highest levels of toxicity oh god im so triggered

Removing the alive/respawning in X ping sucks. Used it all the time to indicate 'we wait for this player to fight' or 'careful, enemy assassin has repawned'.

TOXIC? I always use bait for how it should be used, I was pissed to find out it was removed, I have never seen anyone use it toxicly
