Growing Oak Tree From Acorn Seed Time Lapse (133 Days)

Watch an oak tree growing from an acorn to a young plant over 133 days in this time-lapse. We picked white oak because it can be germinated immediately without a need for cold-stratification like red oaks. To speed up the germinating stage, we wrapped the seed in a paper towel, moisten it and sealed in a ziplock bag for 6 days. It was then sowed into soil. The seed sprouted fast and developed its first batch of leaves within 20 days. By the 4th month, the plant reached over a foot in height.

This is great. I'm trying to do this but I'm not having much luck. I have little guys poking their heads out of the top but I don't know if they are the roots or the tree itself. Kinda frustrating but I'm powering out and seeing how things go. I may have put them in upside down ("pointy end facing down") but the fact that things are sprouting at all gives me hope!

We have grew an acorn tree, but it grew some weird long, I don't know what to call them, they weren't leaves, but they were a hard growth, where the acorns come from, I wish I could show you a picture..
We found the acorn it had rooted..Do you know what it could be??..
The tree has little growths at the end of the little branches, does anyone know what it could be??..I would appreciate any help or advice, Thankyou, xx

I’m growing mine now in fall when temp are declining. It was able to grow a root while being outside in a pot. Should I bring the acorns inside?
