Some thoughts here cause funky stuff:
I thought about making it more dynamic/flashy but honestly just wanted it to be an argument between two people who, if not friends, then at least to some degree cared about each other. So instead of anything too physically dynamic, I opted to focus more on expressions. I try to keep gods less expressive than mortals, so their anger/emotions show in more outward stuff (lightning, waves) Athena is the most expressive out of all of them, but even then most go into the eyes. She is based on an owl ye :D the ghosts aren't really specifically for the dead, because Penelope and Telemachus are there. It's more like. Since they appear at "just a man" it's sort of a visual reminder, of what he's lost and what he still stands to lose.

Basically
Athena: I disown you
Odysseus: No I disown you
Athena: No I
Odysseus: No I
Athena: No I

I love the way you draw Athena without pupils because it shows the gods as something almost human, as if there's something about them that's missing.

I love how Athena's character design actually looks like an owl that such an interesting take on her appearance I love it sm‼️‼️‼️

2:08 That line cuts so deeply, especially since in mythology the closest relationship Athena ever had was with Odysseus and later on with Telemachus.

I love how Athena cranes her neck while she’s singing and trying to make her point. It really gives her that owl characteristic and slips into the uncanny valley. Visually, she’s human, but the subtle points of her design from the way she moves to her lack of pupils to her unnatural height hint at the raw power and ethereality hidden under the surface

The "You're Alone" part where you can tell Odysseus didn't mean for it to come out harsh, and you can tell it really hurts Athena. Such great animation

Imagine the fury, the agony a mortal must exude to make the goddess Athena, the essence of virtue and the greatest protector of all, flinch.

I love Athena's expression after the "You're alone!". At first she is hurt, surprised to be hurt at all by a mortals words, and the she visibly calms herself. You can see her giving up on him and retreating into her 'mortals are beneath divine beings' mindset, because he was right and she didn't even realize.

When Athena goes from grey to white at the “well at least I know what I’m fighting for” it feels like Odysseus is, for once, making her his equal.
They’re playing on even ground.

It's my little headcanon, but the way Athena delivers "this is my goodbye" multiple times sounds like she's trying to convince herself that she's not gonna involve herself with Odysseus, something she does end up doing later down the line in God Games

I see Athena as trying to teach him the basic rule "You either kill your enemies, or you leave them the fuck alone." His refusal to learn this lesson is literally the cause of all his misfortune, and she tried so hard, and despairs. Meanwhile, he broke, because he is "just a man" - I love how you communicate his frantic denial of her, and her grief of and for him.

I love that it IMMEDIATELY cuts to Athena after Odysseus made that stupid move. She really was like “NOPE. buddy, I am NOT gunna be associated with THAT for the next millennium”

Gah, the expressions you give these characters always gets me, and Athena's surprise to hear Odysseus refer to her as a friend...
And the visual of ghosts of his dead warriors surrounding Odysseus hurts.

I love everything about this, your animatics have gotten me invested in the most banger musical I've listened to.

If Wolfy animated an entire musical I would watch the whole thing because these are just perfection

I like that there are brief flashes of emotion on her face. Even if she is all about logic and strategy there are buried feelings, she's lonely. Though she'd never admit and she probably was fond of Odysseus in a friendly way.

Fantastic! I love how you added Polites holding the infant son of Hector and Penelope with Telemachus. It really hits home everything Odysseus wants, regrets, and has lost. This is my favorite song to date.

I like how when Odysseus is talking with Athena he looks perfect, healthy, awake, but when she goes away then he looks tired and scratched up. I kind of shows how Athena seems to see the possibility of him being her perfect general but literally doesn't see how it has effected him along the way, hurt him in more ways than one and left him without sleep. It's good symbolism.

2:49 The rhythm of the “Goodby-y-y-y-y-ye” is the same as the rhythm of the “Warrior of the Mi-i-i-i-i-ind” in Warrior of The Mind! Subtle callback the DOUBLES the emotional punch
