My Goodbye | EPIC the Musical animatic!

I really had fun making this, I really tried to go all out with the poses and movement!

I love how when Odysseus goes “You’re alone!” we see how much it hurts Athena. Her shoulders slump, and she briefly loses grip of her spear. Loved this animatic!

I like to think in some form she really cared about Odysseus, and I like to imagine her lines after he says she's alone are when she has some tears in her eyes

When I listen to this I hear mostly Anger and disappointment from Athena here, from her perspective it’s almost as if Odysseus took her lessons, disregarding everything she taught and shoved them in her face, so she washes her hands of him, on the flip side Odysseus is right to point out her bullshit because she’s a goddess, she’s not having to deal with the consequences of being in the field and watching your friends die, it’s easy to disconnect when you see men as pawns in a chess game so of course Ody tries to modify her lessons to avoid unnecessary bloodshed to preserve his men’s lives, then to be told Athena only saw him as a pet project rather than a friend was a kick in the teeth for Ody as he saw Athena as a friend,

Everything after the "You're alone!" is literal peak. The way you portray Athena is fantastic. She's felt like one of the God's that can most relate to humans and their emotions throughout the musical. So showing her have all of it hit her at once, and feeling the guilt and pain, but still doing what she needs to as a God and doubling down on being above it all is just fantastic.

My favorite animatic of this song is the one by Wolfy the Witch, and a lot of it revolves around a single frame, the look on Athena's face when Odysseus says "...I saw you as a friend." The sudden realization, the hit to her ego; it's great stuff. I loved that you did something similar here.

you portray emotions so well and my comment doesn't do it justice! i love how athena's wings sprout at the same time as "just a man" - that was a nice touch. i hope your work gets more recognition!
