I started putting on a half smile when I was 17 (20 now) outside of this context, mostly to have a more disarming demeanor (I have some serious rbf let me tell you) bevause I would get co.plaints from my customers at the mcdonalds drive thru. My one coworker noticed the change in my demeanor and asked me if I was high. I didn't smoke then (do now) so I was appalled at the idea that someone would think that. So, I actually stopped doing it for a long time.
