Kawaii Colorblock Dress 🎀🍓 Alt Fashion Thrift Flip DIY

I feel like it's been forever since I made a proper thrift flip? I specifically made this as a sewing vlog but I feel like the general idea can be applied to any similar dress, shirt, or tunic. I feel like the finished piece was MADE for lovecore aesthetic outfits, but I feel like I'll be experimenting with several kawaii and alternative styles for coordination options. I hope this inspires some of you to try upcycling your own alternative clothing ^-^

...and YES the embroidery on this dress DOES have a teddy bear with the word "sports" under it as if that is supposed to make any sense.

Your eye for potential in garments is really amazing. If it was me, I would have passed that by in a thrift store like "ugh, who was this even for?" but when you show your perspective on it it only takes a few minutes for me to walk back like, "oh, how did I even think that was frumpy in the first place? It's obviously a starting place for a kawaii colorblock smock, " like the potential is intuitively revealed.

I’ve looked at a few thrift flip videos lately and they make a garnet that looks so different from the original that they are basically just using the original as a fabric source. I love that this video because the finished piece doesn’t look miles away from the original but fixes the flaws and makes it so much cuter.

The dress turned out so pretty! I wish I could go thrift shopping more often, but in Germany it´s not that popular, especially not in the rural region where I live.
