In THIS video I show the final glaze results of the finished fired pieces. I made the original video to help prepare my Ceramics students to glaze their pieces at the end of the semester. They were able to see the finished pieces in person.

I used what we use in the classroom, which is our Coyote brand stoneware glazes (cone 5 and 6 midfire) on our Standard 153 stoneware, a nice midrange firing stoneware. Since this video I stopped using that clay body and switched to Standard 125, a replacement clay body which has a smaller firing range to be vitrified at cone 6..

I had a terrible art teacher in high school who made me feel very inadequate and discouraged when it came to art. He wouldn't give us any creative freedom and if you asked to try something he would doubt you and not offer guidance. His instruction was always tinged with a tone of annoyance and condescendence. Because my partner is a ceramics artist I have rekindled my relationship with art as an adult and we now have a full on ceramics studio in our home.
