M3 GLOBULAR CLUSTER | LIVE VIEW THROUGH TELESCOPE | PHOTOGRAPH 200MM 8 INCH

Показать описание
Messier 3 is a globular cluster in the constellation canes venatici. It is a great target for mid to large size telescope throughout March and April, and will rise high in northern latitudes. It is a fantastic target during spring for both visual observation and astrophotography, I used my 8 inch Newtonian with the Panasonic Gh5 to gather the data for the live view as well as the light frames for the photo. I ran at 400 ISO 180 sec sub frames.
Visual observing can be a little tricky to star-hop to this cluster but it is very rewarding, as the resolving the bright centre. with my 12 inch I was able to increase to x180 on it and it still holds up, showing up the centre really well.
I hope that these videos can give you an idea of how the night sky can look at the eyepiece of a 200 PDS, 200p, 300p flextube or any 200mm 8 inch or 300mm 12 inch reflector telescope and using a DSLR or Mirrorless camera. I find when trying to purchase a telescope, it is hard to find out what you can see through the eyepiece .
