Do you want to download games while your Xbox is turned off? In this video, I show you how to download and update games/applications faster on the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, or Xbox one by changing your Xbox power and storage settings to do this while turned off. If you change the power options to sleep and storage settings on your Xbox, you'll be able to download and update games automatically so your console will continue to work even when turned off in sleep mode!

Thanks. This seemed to work. Just to be safe, though, I set the system to never shut down or sleep automatically, at least when I'm downloading. That first game is Forza Horizon 5, and it's about three times the size of the biggest game I've ever downloaded.

After switching to sleep mode, you can untick " when console is off turn off storage".
Then switch back to shut down mode and it stays unticked.
my console then continues too download in the background while off.

This still doesn't do anything for me . Everytime I come home and turn my Xbox on I have to sit and wait for updates to download, it doesn't do it while I'm at work for 8 hours like it used to on the Xbox one. Also how is "sleep" the setting for background updates when "shutdown" literally says "supports automatic updates of console and game" and the "sleep" setting doesn't say that anywhere? I think ur wrong I think it's the complete opposite
