This is going to help so much. I am currently going to summer school and have decided to treat the plants there, but most of the stems have bent or have even been ripped off by little kids. Thanks!

Thanks Dave, nice video. At 0.56, 1.37 and 2.14 when you mention tension I believe the word you should be using is compression. Glue cures more readily when under pressure, which in this case will only be generated by compression.

How long can it be to do this repair? I had a big branch off of my Daphne snap off. I hated to throw it into the yard recycle can, so I reset the area and put it in water. Is there anything I can do to help this branch from my Daphne survive?

A few days ago, I noticed that my zucchini (in a pot) was suddently doing very bad. It had recently changed place to a more sunny spot and the day had been very hot, so I thought it was a shock from the sun and that it would come back. Now some leaves are doing better, but most leaves are still very droopy and some dried. So yesterday I notice that the main trunk is half broken.
So I’m trying your trick to try and save the zucchinis! I know it’s a very different type of branch and it’s been a few days, but it’s worth trying.
I’ll keep you updated

Its compression! Cool video though. Does the plant just re-route how it gets water up there?

What can fix a trunk of a Rhododendron that has been damaged by banging garbage cans on it? Happen last winter? Cut it back a lot but can the trunk be repaired? 😢Don't want to loose it?

This would really only be beneficial when the break is fresh. If you wait too long for the wound to "scab over" you can't really do anything. When the break is fresh, you can simply splint the limb with a straw or a piece of wood or something and some plant tape and over weeks/months it should heal back together, and stronger than ever.

When you do what you did, you're simply supporting a broken limb that won't heal. Nutrient transfer is still bound to what wasn't severed in the break. I'd just remove the limb. It's too late.

I have a very tall sansieveria with one spear that is partially split. It's very much alive. My remedy up to this point was to insert a tall piece if bamboo and secured it with a piece of cotton gauze. Looks pretty pathetic. Will the Gorilla glue or any crazy glue work on a single leaf? Thanks
