That last photo before the video ends is a real tear jerker! It's tragic what's happened to these people. I will be donating to the Red Cross. As an Albertan, the province will match my donations as well as the federal government now.

I live in New England... So many times we have help from Canada when our power lines are down. Surely The U.S. could send American firefighters on a volunteer basis of course, but I think many of our American firefighters would be willing to help. a few hundred from their local firedept. is NOT going to contain this! I wish we would offer our neighbors help. Firefighters are the very most brave people working and risking for the RIGHT reasons. This is tragic and very scary and I'm consumed with thoughts for our Canadian neighbors!

You would think the Slave Lake fire of 2011would have prompted Harper to consider extra wide firewall zones around Alberta cities. Where the hell is the help from the AMERICANS ? How many times have Canadians gone to the U.S. to help them in their disasters ? Are they too good to show their appreciation and send help this way ? They are showing their true colours . Typical of the American government .
