This shows why I believe that cutting funding for arts in schools was a mistake. Children are able to apply the lessons from the basic classes, math, reading, writing in art programs - music at the most basic level uses timing and counting, reading of the notes and understanding how they fit into a scale. Physical arts, painting, sculpture etc. all include geometry and other math concepts. Sports also use communication, geometry, basic and advanced mathmatics...
Each time a child is given the opportunity to use the lessons they are taught in practical everyday matters it strengthens the understanding and allows them to advance more smoothly to the next level.

This Form of teaching Math? Should start in Kindergarten... That way (My Theory is.) Children will be able to make the connection of Math and Music in their Brains while beginning their learning process... Allowing The Connectors to Click... After that? Math in later years? Will become as easy as Listening to Music... JMO...
