My Dear Sanatani Brothers and Sisters,

I am a proud Bangladeshi Muslim. Our beloved Bangladesh is a shining example of communal harmony, where we respect and love people of all religions, beliefs, and communities. Since childhood, many of my closest friends have been from the Hindu community, and the moments I spent with them remain some of the most beautiful memories of my life.

Recently, Farhad Mazhar spoke in favor of Chinmoy Krishna. This is his personal opinion and his right to freedom of expression. We all believe in the right to express ourselves freely. Many of you from the Sanatani community have made positive comments, which is admirable. However, I have one question: when an Indian woman says, “If we urinate, you’ll drown, ” why is there no united protest from our Hindu brothers and sisters against such hateful remarks?

Our foremost duty is to love and respect our own country. Our country is our pride, our identity. Remember, if a woman leaves her in-laws’ home and returns to her parents’ house in anger, over time, her importance diminishes there as well. Similarly, if we do not love and honor our own country, no one else will respect us.

We, Bangladeshi Muslims, have always held our Hindu brothers and sisters in high regard, with love and respect. We firmly believe in the principle: “Religion is personal, but the country belongs to all.” I humbly request my Sanatani brothers and sisters to also stand in support of truth when Pinaki Bhattacharya speaks out against any injustice by India. Supporting the truth is everyone’s responsibility.

Let Bangladesh continue to shine as an example of communal harmony—this is our only wish. Together, with love, respect, and mutual understanding, we can build a stronger nation.

Let us break the walls of hatred and, with unity, love, and peace, take our beloved Bangladesh forward.
