Máirín Mhic Lochlainn reads a short story by Tom O’Flaherty.
Walk: 4.30pm
From the O’Flaherty homestead to Scoil Fhearann an Choirce, the school which the brothers attended – by the backroads used by them. A guided walk which will reveal what life on the Aran Islands looked like to the writers Liam and Tom O’Flaherty when they were young.
On arrival at Scoil Fhearann an Choirce, Máirín Uí Fhátharta will give a short talk.
6.30pm Dinner in Kilronan.
Gairmscoil Éinne, Kilronan, 9.00pm
Na Bláthanna Craige: a dramatic presentation based on Liam Ó Flaithearta's work will be presented by Diarmuid de Faoite, actor, writer and director. Aran musicians will provide supporting music.
Joey O Fatharta from Inis Mór, will accompany Diarmuid de Faoite during his performance.

The award-winning and renowned sean-nós singer Treasa Ní Mhiolláin will sing songs from Lán Mara, her new CD. The album, released by Cló Iar-Chonnacht, celebrates an utterly unique and distinctive artistic talent.

Liam Ó Flaithearta agus Pádraic Ó Conaire - Scríbhneoirí agus Sóisialaigh, a lecture by the writer and broadcaster, Seosamh Ó Cuaig, in which the connections between Liam Ó Flaithearta and Padraic Ó Conaire will be discussed. Pádraic Ó Conaire was one of the greatest and most prolific writers in the Irish language. Extracts from the works of Ó Flaithearta and Ó Conaire will be read by Fionnghuala Ní Choncheanainn.
