If you think you will see that in reality mirrorless is "what you see is what you get" because of the direct view of the picture before taking it, but i agree, the d850 is an amazing camera

I have a mirrorless camera but I still love and adore the good old dslr. Would love to get my hands on that D850 one day.

Last year, I purchased a Nikon F3 from a Facebook seller. Three weeks ago, I purchased a used D850 after reading reviews and enjoying it.

On my Nikon mirrorless cameras, you can turn off the rear LCD screen so it is not running all the time.

I love my OM1 MarkII mirrorless because it is so light weight and if battery life is an issue, I have 3 to carry around 😁. When I go on a hiking trip, I cannot afford to carry huge lens from a DSLR camera. That's just my own preference! I am not complaining about the D850 as I know it is a very nice camera.

I switched to mirrorless z8 it’s amazing camera, zfc small and compact for every day snaps . Also I will never sale my d750 d850 and all dslr lenses. Hobby photographer and Nikon camera collector 😅

I have the D850 and D800. Great cameras, however recently discovered how bad the AF in live view is when shooting video.

I cannot comprehend your stated first reason for loving a DSLR i.e. you get what you see when you look through the lens. I too have a DSLR (Canon 5D mark III) but most of the times the image I get is different from what I see through the optical viewfinder with particular reference to light. Could you please elaborate more on what you meant

I shoot with the 850 as well, no plans on getting rid of it. I also shoot with a GFX, it is no where near as fast. And there isnt that big a difference in the images.

Do you get it yet ? Cannot beat pro f glass i have friends still havnt changed from film to digital their photos show why, their images are unbelievable, no modern camera will teach you what thes guys can do with fully manual 3 fps cameras 😁😁😁 cameras dont make you good, knowledge does

Hey tim ...dont pick up a GFX ha ha ... I still have my D850 and I spoke with Wendy about this, but I wanted to upgrade, but I didn't want to go to the Z series cameras and I had a great six months sales wise and I've invested in GFX and all my gosh the image quality is off the charts I have a 50 S ii In many ways, it operates very similar to a D8 50 in that it's a slower camera and it's a much more methodical process. I still love the D850 and I'm not selling it and still use it a fair bit. I still think the D850 is one of the best cameras ever made, and it's so good in all conditions.

When you look into a viewfinder you don’t see what you’ll get. That’s more an electronic view finder. When you look into an optical view finder, you won’t see aperture, ISO, and shutter speeds. You’re just basically looking out the window with no reference as to what your settings are producing.
