I am a Texan. I have been without power for two days. Without water for one. By-done can do whatever he wants. Texan people are some of the strongest most resilient people you can meet.
They can't break us, beat us, or defeat us in any way.

Our area in South Texas is practically abandoned. Going on 5 days without power or water here, tryng to keep our elders alive post-surgery and we're lucky if a robot answers at the power company. We're fortunate to have a borrowed generator for their place, but the search for gas is proving not only dangerous but almost impossible to obtain. I'm grateful for the snow as we're able to melt it for the livestock on a camp stove, but some are possibly still frostbit. The water I have been stockpiling inside (for many months) is frozen.
They can keep this up, but we are getting stronger.

I live in in Oklahoma and my mom bought a house in North Tulsa 30 years ago which is the considered the black side and the poor side of town. She recently sold her home and we put all of our money together to buy land in the country but anyway. We had a terrible ice storm in Oklahoma and the only area that had power was North Tulsa because all of the power lines were installed UNDERGROUND!!! We never lost power in a storm, ice, snow, wind etc. Two years ago they started rewiring and putting the lines above ground which makes no sense because it worked great underground!!!

I’m praying for all those affected in Jesus’ name. I also wanted to tell you that yesterday down here in south Florida it was 82° with no severe weather, and we had an hour long power outage. I went on FPL’s website the moment it shut off and the outage was already listed as an area-wide outage with an estimated time of repair, leading me to think it was planned.... especially bc our power is very stable here and hasn’t gone out at all that I can recall since Hurricane Irma in 2017. So we should be preparing that we may also see this happening even in places not affected by winter weather. They may even start saying they need to redirect power from one state to another to help their grid. The way we live in the modern world puts us at their mercy. But we must remember to have no fear, that our Father is sovereign of all things, and all things work for His ultimate plan. He allows the enemy to do what he does for things we can’t always understand. Remember people don’t usually humble themselves to call out to the Lord until they’re weakened or scared enough to drop their pride. We know we’re in the end times, and the most important thing is saving souls. This life is so short, it’s only a testing ground. Once this life is over the former things will be passed away.

Luckily here in TX all the neighbors help each other. My neighbor plowed my driveway and I was wondering where they got the plow. They just moved here from Washington.
Yesterday an elderly couple's house burned down in the area. Luckily they made it out safe with their dog and lost everything. Many neighbors were willing to take them in. I kept telling my husband months ago something is going to happen. He's like your just a conspiracy nut. Now he's planning ahead for stuff like this. A little late. At least we can use the dirty snow for flushing the toilet.

I am from Minnesota. I now live in the Austin, TX area now. It was on the news the other day, down here. That if people want to get out of their cold house and want to go somewhere warm. They can drive to the Palmer Events Center-Austin, TX. Then you will be driven to a "secret" location to get that sink in

Lived in the NE for 40 years, I had an oil furnace and a wood stove, also electric mini split, I have choices. If power went out we were good with wood. Also had a small generator for fridge, lights and computer, and gas grill with side burner for cooking, as well as charcoal grill. Back-up pantry and food & water supply. Diversify people and you won't be cold or hungry.

I think we have had power the whole time, I'm here in Texas. The fact that we're on the same power grid as the police station probably is the reason.

If you have a mason jar and vegetable Oil and a strip of cotton material you can cut a hole in the lid and have Light And Heat for hours !
If you don't have water you can boil the snow in a pot over the fire ! Trees hold water too cut a hole in one and put something under the hole to catch it, some trees seep faster than others !
