There were a couple of British lads who ran an organisation called Dark Justice wherein they posed as minors online, they would chat with adults and upon the adults asking to they'd turn up in bulletproof vests. They worked extensively with the police and got something like 150 convictions and 50-odd jail sentences. Their work resulted in a few cases going to the high court, the UK's Highest court, resulting in a ruling that attempting to meet a fake minor is legally no different from a real child. Proper inspiring stuff. I remember they did a long interview on national radio, LBC, which is an hour long. And you can find that on youtube, importantly none of their stings were put out on Youtube.

It’s almost like it’s obstruction of justice when vigilantes do this stuff for their own personal gain for whatever personal reasons. It just ruins any chance of people getting actually convicted.

Honestly I think that these sting operations should not assault the alleged predator and should always have law enforcement present and they should just let the law do its justice

The thing that really annoys me about Predator Hunting channels is that when you criticize them their audience will call you a predator defender, Which is ironic considering the people they're defending are literally helping predators avoid any kind of justice. Which is what Max's audience did to Tommy C and we all know what happened to Max in the end.

As someone who makes that style of content and prioritizes arrests over content, we're actually finding MORE predators are hoping to just get punched or slapped and then let go, so not only are they not doing anything, they're almost enabling the behavior because these creeps think they can just LITERALLY walk away with a slap on the wrist.

From the officer's perspective, without any prior knowledge or context, it just looks to them like a bunch of influencers are beating up a disabled guy and that's exactly how a court would spin it.

This is why channels like CC Unit and People V Pred always say, "I'm recording so that you can't tell the police that I hurt you, and so that I can't tell them you hurt me". They were aware of how assaulting a predator would hold up in court and they never did it. Those predator catchers who wail on predators are clueless on how that works.

Just remember that Predator Poachers waited for full monetization of their EDP445 video before uploading it in case you're wondering what their priorities were. Is it good that EDP got outed for what he was doing? Yes, but the way PP did it made it so that he couldn't properly be prosecuted.
