It doesn't matter how many bullets you have if you can't see the enemy.

Russia subs are probably susceptible to water at this point lol

Of the Russian Typhoon class subs shown in this clip there is only one left now in operational condition

Making more noise than your adversary while underwater is the kiss of death. Nothing else is remotely as important than to be more quiet than your enemy. I worked in a command while in the military that tracked Soviet era submarines. If we ever went to a “shooting” situation, those Soviet subs were nothing but coffins!

the whole point of a submarine going back to the very first used submersibles was stealth. former US submariners have said russian subs are so loud and their equipment is so good they know where all russian subs are at all times and that they've sat underneath russian ports for days watching them move ships around and then leave without them knowing. yeah, i think we know who is winning

Shall we mention the x factor, which crews are better trained?

If their subs are like their army in Ukraine we've got nothing to be afraid of.

Russia's submarines prioritize survivability? Why not ask K-27, K-129, K-19, and last but not least, the K-141 Kursk?

"Russian submarines prioritise firepower"
Ohio class with 24 missiles
While the typhoon only has 20 missiles 😅

Bottom line make peace with your worst enemy who has the biggest nuclear arsenal!

The Kursk showed us how capable their submariners are at maintaining their ships.

Doesn't matter how much 'firepower' a Russian sub can carry, if it can be easily detected, track, & sunk.
The American "Seawolf" is the most stealthy submarine in human history. They can literally shadow Russian subs for miles, so if push came to shove, the Americans could sink the Russians before any of the Russians' weapons could be used.

partially true statements, but they no longer apply to the last generation of russian subs. No longer doubble hull, not longer noisier. Some statements should be revised and adjusted.

Are we talking 40 years ago or currently?

There is a reason the submarine service is called "The Silent Service".

You can have all the fire power in the world, but if you can’t find your enemy, then you’re screwed

The main difference between the submarines is that the US subs work.

I'm surprised to see an exposed prop

And Russian submarines have had the most accidental caused death to it's crews.
