This is reassuring. I have an education/teaching background with some early intervention experience. Currently working in ed and behavioral health consulting but want to pursue BCBA credential. This was the video I was looking for. I have been researching this field and am highly interested in getting into it. My background is in working in mental health programs as a Rec Therapist with males in an adult prison. I left it because I felt like what I was doing wasn’t truly impactful but still want to keep digging into the root of reducing the probability of people entering the CJ system. I then became a substitute teacher aide and was able to experience working with kids 1:1 or small groups which led me to becoming a Paraeducator or RBT. Once I learned about BCBA, I thought to myself, man, maybe I can circle back to working directly with people impacted by incarceration or at risk. Thank you for your videos, truly gives me hope and makes me excited to keep learning more about this field and hopefully entering into it.

This is awesome information!!!! I always thought that combining ABA with substance abuse and recovery can make incredible, significant impact! As well as domestic violence, trauma, etc.. ppl need to be able to reintegrate into society after going through major issues, what better way than to use ABA?…
