Great content EN1, perfect explanation. On my first 5yrs, I deployed for over a year. I was stationed on a Aircraft Carrier.

Great thank you. This is what I wanted to know. I’m joining Navy reserve. I prefer this instead of active.

For someone joining the Navy Reserves from prior service and wanting to deploy, what are the chances that the ZipServe orders we request, are actually granted? Im one of the few that actually wants to deploy/mobilize really bad lol

Is there a way my husband and i can ask you a few questions? Hes coming up on end of contract and at the point of chosing to do shore duty or go reserves. We re having issues getting some questions answered and are completely lost as to whats best to do. I think he has to decide by beginning of 2024 and he hasnt really recieved much info to make a well informed decision

Just met with a recruiter, my intentions are to be a Seabee reservist.
Two questions I asked that have me wanting to fact check
1. Am I able to pick my NOSC/NRC (the closest one), he stated yes.
2. Can I pick up orders that may last 1 or 2 months and once I return, since I will meet the minimum 50 points for a "good year" I would not have to do a drill weekend once a month, he stated yes.

Can you verify these for me? Or point me to a direction where I can confirm this.

I'd prefer to pick up a set of orders while as a reservist that will grant me enough points to at least achieve 50 points or be close to it; due to the fact that I work for the fire department and according to their policy they will pay me up to 30 work days for military leave.

Appreciate you and your videos!

As a reservist, are you allowed to move up in rank? Take tests or are you stuck with the rank and rate you had when you got out? I'm prior service and trying to become a reservist. Thanks

So would you get a more of a choice to go certain places or is it wherever they choose if you choose to go to voluntary mobilization as an MASA

What’s the minimal years of commitment with the navy reserve ? Do I have to deploy? Can I deny it?

Couple of questions I have: I'm currently 40 and the cut off age to enlist in the Navy is 42. I do have a full time Monday thru Friday job I do enjoy. My question is: Can I just be primarily Navy Reserve?

From Oklahoma where would I do my training for the one weekend a month?

Do you got anything for a prior service trying to get in the reserves with a break from active duty for a few years. I.e. seperate AD in 2017 and trying to reenlist in 2023

This Navy Transition Coach youtube feature of Everything You Need To Know About Navy Reserve Deployments is clarity broadening. Additionally, the references to being stationed stateside, Japan, Bahrain etc in addition to the example of the navy reservist who completed a 5 year mobilization are pretty intriguing examples (for instance the 5 year navy reserve deployment example is pretty much the best of both worlds-the flexibility of the navy reserve with the pay and benefits similar to active duty etc.)
