It sounds like sponsored content to me; in his real honest tech reviews he goes very nitpicky about anything he reviews, however, he does not even go into detail about the ugly bulge behind the case. It is without a doubt one of the biggest things you notice with this case.
Secondly, the Mophie case has a higher capacity battery along with a sleeker design for the same price along with the function to turn off/on the external battery.

David has mentioned in several videos you DO NOT want to always keep your phone at 100%, as he said, it's like a muscle and it needs to be worked out, if not it creates future battery issues. I have no problem with this being sponsored content, however, it just feels odd since I follow this channel for both the classes and online reviews.

imo,  if apple would make the phone a little bit thicker to have larger battery then that will solve 3 problems:
1) Battery that would last long so no external battery would be required since the phone won't die before the day gets over.
2) Phone would look really nice and better, like it used to, since there won't be any protruding camera. Also, external "battery cases" won't be required.
3) This would be cost effective (again since external battery cover will not be required).

David focused on its functionality instead on its looks. While it agree it's UGLY that's what all other reviewers are focusing on. I'll never get it but I respect what it's capable of.

I recognize that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder but.... I can't possibly see how you felt this merits the outstanding review you gave it. Granted it's functional but the design would have Steve Jobs spinning in his grave.

It has to do with whether there is software out there – online or off-line – which would allow me to record/copy videos presented on the Internet, whether they are YouTube videos or otherwise.

According to some other review sites, there are supposed to be some 'smart' features with this battery case where the phone will automatically adjust its power saving mode's, etc. Did you test any of those features?

So assuming you keep this case on all the time, does it work like this: you charge the case with the phone inside, so both batteries jump up to 100%. You unplug the Lightning cable, and primarily the iphone battery is used. But at which point does the smart battery case start supplying power? Logically I hope it would be when the iPhone hits 0%, otherwise it would be crazy for the smart battery to start powering whilst the iPhone is at 70% on the original battery
