What happened to the crew of the American ships that were in violation of international law by attacking the Soviet submarine. Did the Soviets ever launch a formal complaint against the Americans for depth, charging their submarine?

Did the captain of the destroyers or whatever vessels that were depth, charging the submarine ever learned how they almost ended the world by there actions that day.
