Headcanon: Aizen's Shikai is actually his Bankai. Since his Zanpakuto's ability is to screw with all five senses, everyone in the story actually thinks it's his Shikai. And it's so powerful, that it even leaks out into the real world, influencing the Mangaka that he didn't even show his Bankai in the manga at all, and we all got afflicted with it.

He planned it from the very beginning.

Imagine if it turns out that everything that happend in Bleach since Urahara's arrival and him sealing Aizen up to the TYBW - actually was Aizen's Bankai. And one day in next novel Ichigo is going receive message "wake up Neo".

A theory I heard is that Aizens Shikai, is his Bankai, and the whole water/mist displacement thing that he mentioned is his actual Shikai. Because Kyoka Suigetsu’s perfect hypnosis seems a tad bit overpowered to be just a Shikai ability. Or his Bankai isn’t a combat oriented ability, and that it’s something else, like Omnipotence or something, which is how he knew about the truth behind the Soul King. And how he knew literally everything that was going to happen. Aizen was experimenting with his Bankai after having just discovered it, and he looked too far into something that wasn’t meant for Shinigami or human eyes. Either way, it’s a fascinating thing isn’t it?

In the novel SAFWY, it stated that Aizen has bankai but his opponent need to see his shikai first

Some people said that in one of the novels Aizen states that his bankai only works on those affected by his shikai, therefore confirming he did in fact achieve it. If that wasn’t enough, Aizen also states that he reached the limits of a soul reaper which would involve mastering bankai

He was one of the most powerful and intelligent captains, he definitely has a Bankai. He just never needed it

His shikai actually does more than just control 5 senses. Its complete hypnosis which means he could and has done things that affect peoples Chronoception (Perception of time) . We could also guess he could also alter a persons perception of Strength, temperature, balance, etc.
So in theory his bankai would probably be a extension to this if not an outright overpowered secondary ability or powerup

Aizen obviously has a Bankai, he went after the Hogyoku so he could gain more power as he had already reached his limit as a Soul Reaper. (This also means that he should be able to use all Hado and Bakudo spells too)
