That is a British Lend-Lease M4 that was lengthened to accommodate the monster A57 Chrysler Multibank engine. Those have more distance between the bogies than the standard M4'S that used radial and twin Detoit Diesel bus engines. There's a good chance that the tank stayed running after taking hits in the engine compartment since that motor could keep running after one to three of the 6 cylinder engines were knocked out.
