Received my Irish citizenship this year, you can travel/live/work in any major European country like Germany, Belgium, France, Netherlands, or Denmark with an Irish passport, time that you invest here will eventually give you a lot back, patience is the key!

It totally depends on your situation I believe. For us, Ireland has proved to be a wonderful place. My wife is a Doctor, she got permanent residency after 2 years. I was on Stamp 1G which allowed me to work, study and what not…

Canada is in the corner of the world. You have to travel miles & miles for any errand. Flights to Asia/Europe are too long and expensive. Your family can’t visit you because of the long flights and expensive tickets

Extreme weather of Canada is another debatable topic.

Ireland is no doubt a small country but if you find it monotonous in terms of tourism, you can visit 28 countries which are hardly 2-3 hours away at max. We travel to London as if going to some city… cheap flights of 40 mins duration

Ireland gives us citizenship in 5 years time none of the other countries that attract non EU is in the same boat
In terms of salary, both me and my spouse together earn 260k euros per annum in Ireland
Despite taxes being high there are multiple benefits like free schooling
Weather is definitely milder and eur has better conversion than cad
We could afford to buy a house in dublin with our savings in just 3 years time
It’s all perspective and personal experiences .. good luck

Hi Danish, you have some MIS-INFORMATION here, sorry mate !!!

The salary difference (overall) between Ireland and Canada is approx. 5%-15% depending on the occupation but it's much much harder to find a job in Canada as an Immigrant.

Canadian Winters are much harsher and more depressing than Irish winters.

Proximity to Europe is a big one, From Ireland, you have over 25 European Countries that are much easier and cheaper to visit and have a Richer tourist experience. Off-peak flights are return less than 50 Euros to Italy for example, so much more to see and do if you are based in Europe.

Also, the Irish medical system is way better than Canadian healthcare, which is on the verge of collapse as our Candian friends tell us.

AND FINALLY, THE EU PASSPORT you get eventually after settling in Ireland. Canada 35million, EU- 400million, No comparision on future prospects for your kids !!!

I live in Ireland my comment may be biased. But in my opinion this is not a good comparison.
Ghumne ki jagah : Pura UK/ Europe 20-60 Euro Per head return flight mein ghumke aa sakte ho. So its really stupid to just include Temple Bar of Dublin
Salary comparison: How much is it more ? If I earn 70K Euro its 50K CAD, toh agar INR mein dekhenge, Euro is stronger than CAD.
Stamp 1 vs Stamp 1G: If you are a student and pass in IT or any other skills that fall into CSEP, you can get Stamp-1. Plus your wife will be eligible to work on Stamp1G from 1st day with no limitation.
Khane ki baat: UK, Amsterdam mein acha street food mil jaata hai araam se.
UK, Ireland mein Desi log bahut hai so no home sickness.
Canada has very extreme temperatures going upto -40 in winters and car/home maintenance is higher because of snow.
Ireland passport will allow you to work any where in Europe and UK without additional work permit.

If your pay gives a happy life today and a secure life tomorrow then which country doesn't matter. If that doesn't happen then leaving your home country can be the biggest regret.

But now after listening from your video I am getting very much nervous for leaving my parents back there alone in India for a die which is I really don’t want that. £60k to £95k is huge huge money bro. I believe very few people can able achieved that level of money in there country. After watching you video I realized I showed changed my mind for Ireland for long-term future plan. I would strongly disagree with you regarding lifestyle or night life where you said that in Dublin, its all basically the Temple Bar area. One thing you will notice when visiting areas like Temple Bar in Dublin (and around the country) is the lack of actual Irish people there, they dont go because its a total tourist trap. Irish never visit these places and because you mentioned it, it makes be believe that you did not explore the city at all. Dublin and Ireland has world class restaurants, art galleries, leisure sports, nightlife and more. Its unfortunate that you have given a misleading account

I slightly differ with you on regards with salary, Canada doesn't have higher salaries than Ireland or Germany.
And As far as healthcare is concerned European healthcare is far far far better than Canadian healthcare, you will suffer hell out of yourself just to get a bed or to get a pain killer for that matter.

Absolutely spot on. I lived in Ireland for 16 years and returned back to India. Ireland was getting out of hand. Too expensive, housing crises, over the top rents, businesses are not scalable.

I'm Irish and left Ireland about 7 years ago. There aren't many opportunities there, the weather is quite poor (rains all the time), and it is quite a boring/chilled lifestyle there which I'm not interested in. However, these things suit a lot of people!
