This is one of my favorite things to do with a perfect faro shuffle. It involves a 52 card deck and cutting the cards exactly at 26 each time. Check out my video blog post if you want to learn the Secret To Learning The Faro Shuffle.

Still Think It's Reversed?

I also want to credit the creator of this trick, Magician Paul Gertner. Without his teachings on this, I would be nowhere.

I'm getting a ton of great comments. Thank you! I do want to address some of the skeptics. :) The video is not in reverse. I did speed up a few slow spots to keep it quick, but it's 100% legit. No other edits. If you think about it, it's not possible in reverse. Literally would be more amazing. My mind would be blown. 💥 lol😂

Here’s a link to the full performance as taught by the master and creator, Paul Gertner

I tried posting a link, but YouTube doesn't allow links in comments. SO...

Please search my channel for "Marked Unshuffled Card Trick by Magician, Nate Jester" and you'll see the FULL UNCUT PERFORMANCE WITH A LIVE AUDIENCE!

Thank you for your likes, comments and subscribes. I appreciate you guys!!!

My dad ( an ex professional magician) taught me this shuffle, among many others but this one was always most satisfying

One of the few tricks I’ve seen where the solution is that the magician is just doing what he appears to be doing, and it’s an impressive skill.

My favorite ever effect on Penn & Teller Fool Us. Paul Gertner performed it so masterfully.

He has more control over his deck than most people do over their lives.

Not sure if I'm more impressed with the perfect shuffle, or the perfect cut 😮

I believe I just witnessed real-life sorcery in action. Seriously, that is -memorizing- mesmerizing and mind-blowing how effortlessly you did that

i love that it creates an illusion that makes the deck look thicker as you shuffle it more

Some tricks are pure trickery, some are pure skill. This, doing a perfect shuffle several times in a row, is skill.

What a fantastic visual for how *NOT* random perfect shuffles are—and how they can be used for tricks 🤩

Are we gonna talk about the fact he just split a deck perfectly in half 3 times in a row

Guys it’s several perfect shuffles, many skilled card handlers can do this as shown. Very satisfying to watch with the writing

This is actually a really good lesson in how horizontal versus vertical resolution works.
