Why did I have the urge to clap, yet all the spectators remained silent?

I am a Christian, not LDS, but I still get emotional...even watching this young woman get baptized. To give your life to Lord like this, I still feel the Holy Spirit swell in me, even now.

I get baptized this Saturday and will become a member Sunday after. I am very excited and blessed. Truly can’t wait to be washed clean and be a devoted servant of Christ.

I remember the day I was baptized I felt the peace of GOD it was the best feeling ever I wish I could feel that every day but it’s like GOD was telling me that one day when I’m home with him I will always feel that peace

Photographs, Recordings, and Transcriptions of Ordinances and Blessings

Ordinances and blessings are sacred. For this reason, no one should take photographs or make video recordings of ordinances, blessings, or baptismal services.
A family may make an audio recording and transcription of father’s blessings. These blessings are described in 18.14.1.
Patriarchal blessings are transcribed. To facilitate this, the patriarch or his scribe makes an audio recording of the blessing.
Other ordinances and blessings should not be recorded or transcribed.
For information about streaming ordinances, see 38.2.3.

A spontaneous giggle like that often emerges when the brain reaches a point of new understanding. I think she got it. It is wonderful when a dad baptizes his child and after they share a hug. Gives it a beautiful closing. I am guessing this might be a missionary and hugging is not appropriate nor allowed between young unrelated women and men. Dad’s and grandpas beautiful.

I escaped.... but that was a decision I made on my own free will and much prayer. I just felt stuck. I'm not anti-CoJCoLDS but I think I made the right choice for me. Will HF lead me back? Perhaps. Congrats on your baptism. I will never try to lead anyone away from their faith.

Congratulations! There’s nothing wrong with recording baptisms. There were no recording devices in the biblical days. So we have no biblical instruction regarding this.

Instead, I think we should take into consideration that people’s baptisms were written about in the Bible and shared with many, including us today. Because of this, I think it is clear that there is nothing wrong with sharing your baptism with others.

It is a blessing to see someone be baptized. I was filled with joy and excitement when this video popped up on my recommended list. I love seeing this great event take place in someone’s life. So encouraging and inspiring. I would have love to see everyone break out in applause and rejoicing when she came back up. This is such a joyous event.

No one was baptized under 28:19 in the scripture. Only in the name of Jesus, or in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Invalid baptism. Proper matter and form, but wrong intention.
