The One Shot Wonder (Chi-Nu II)

The Chi-Nu II (or Chi-Nu 2, whichever you prefer) is probably the most solid premium tank you can get for the Japanese tank tech tree. It used to wreak havoc in the lower tiers of WT before Gaijin moved it up to 4.3, but it's still a very potent medium tank with powerful armament. I like to compare it to a railgun since it's so devastating. It'll destroy most targets in one shot, hence the title.

Command and Conquer: Generals - Various China Themes

I love how it's like "7 bajillion mm of pen" and then you hit like a sheet steel cosmetic feature on the outside of a tank and the round simply ceases to be

As a 100% Japan Main, all the tanks are absolute glass cannons. It's a fairly fun part of the tree, and I feel the training of "if it looks at me I die" leads to being an actually better player with other trees

Also, I might add that Japanese rank IV guns have very low shell dropoff, Actually Japanese tanks in general have pretty good guns

I’d love this thing a lot more if it weren’t for the weird uncapped AP shells that have weird problems with angled armor, and the 4.3 BR desert where it has no lineup or purpose other than to play second fiddle to the Chi-To’s.

after fighting the Chi-Nu before, i never transitioned from low tier to 5.7 and 6.0 so quickly, it's crazy

I love the additional editing you've done for this video, got a good few laughs out of me

this thing being at 4.3 while the panzer 4 f2 is 3.3 is completely insane...

also maybe a video on the leo 1a5? no real reason i just like it :D

I forget if you’ve made a video on it before, but the Boarhound is still a lot of fun.

6pdr APHE is bonkers, and it’s a shame (or maybe a blessing) that only two vehicles get it. I’m pretty sure that the only two vehicles that get the 6pdr APHE round are the Boarhound and the Su-57 half track.

Chi-Nu II is easily the best purchase I ever made in WT. It made me fall in love with the Japanese tree. It's a must buy for anyone playing Japanese

You should totally make a Driver’s Ed video for War Thunder. It would definitely be funny, and some people could really use it! Also, the one tank I’m scare of when using Japanese tanks is also the Sherman.

Man it sounded like you had so much fun making this video! Also I know you use C&C Generals music before but the theme for China just hits different, booted up the game instantly after the video

The Chi-Ri is very good too, one of my favorite Japanese tank, the 3 round autoloader is so unknown to other player that you can get many easy kills on players who don't know the tank

Not sure why but I really enjoyed this video a lot, especially when you're turret was fully turned backwards and that tiger saw you

Playing the Japanese tech tree is somewhat hard at first but starts to get more fun when finally unlock The shermans, type 61 and sta-3

ST-A 3 is some of the more underrated tanks in Japanese tree aswell, 6 sec auto-loader + HEAT-FS at 6.7 with good optic is a bonker !

Japan is one of the most underated nations in general
Some of my personal favourites are all the tanks that use the 75mm type 2 gun (except the Chi-Ri II that thing blows), the Ho-Ro, the Chi-Ha LG, the Type 60 SPRG, the STA-3, the Type 61, the Type 89, the Type 75 SPH and the Type 87 RCV. I'd love to see you play some of these if you haven't!

I used to bring the Chi-Nu II up in BR with Type 75 SPH as i didnt have a great lineup. Chi nu carried me through lots of battles working as a side shot wonder

A vehicle that I would suggest (since it is quite similar to the Chi Nu II) is the STRV DT which is packing nearly double the explosive filler (110g) with a 4 round magazine. It's pretty flexible and one shots basically anything you face if you pen. It's my most played tank and it's a LOT of fun

I got the Chi-Nu II with warbonds before I started playing Japan...it has been one of the best tanks I have ever gotten for "free" and helped me research all the way thru tier 4 in the Japanese ground tree. I love almost everything about it (turret traverse rate being the glaring issue, as it is on most Japanese WWII era tanks). But yeah, that gun just pops everything it looks at.
