you are a great person, i've been trying to learn the terminal commands (which i know i should anyway) but thank you for showing me that Tortoise is a viable alternative

Thanks for the quick Tortisegit run-through. There aren't many of these on YouTube that I can find.

Just one thing: you may want to watch about showing your email address in your videos. Some people out there aren't nice and will do bad things with it. (You showed yours real briefly when you went to your GitHub account settings.)

I did everything as what you explained but still wants username and password while pushing. I've changed ssh client path to C:\Program Files (x86)\Git\bin\ssh.exe nothing fixed. do you have any advice?

Hi, I am getting an error when I am trying the below command
git config --global user.name "abcdef"

error: could not lock config file G:\/.gitconfig: No such file or directory

Can you please tell me why I am getting this error. Also there is no G drive at all in my PC. Generally --global should point to c:\users\<username> right? but why am I getting this error.
