Thank you for sharing this. My great grandfather was Samuel McReynolds. I'm told he was the chief electrical engineer onboard.

I've been trying to find information or photos about him on Ancestry for a couple of years now since i found out about the diaster and just happened to find this video.

Seafaring must run in the family because I'm an electrical engineer in the maritime industry as well.

I also never knew where were he was buried so thank you for letting me know, I'll make the effort to visit his grave and pay my respects.

And Mr Kipling from the Waterside, Londonderry. My father, his colleague in Welch Margetson, also travelling back from a meeting at the London HQ, crossed to Belfast from Heysham the same day but survived.

Hello my great grandfather's brother was on that boat he was called William Blair I didn't hear you saying a William Blair did anyone know a William Blair?

Thank you Peter for this wonderful reminder of our the lost souls who perished at sea on that fateful stormy 1953 evening.. we will always remember they were loved and will never be forgotton.
