Activation of the Texas Amber Network in Dallas County - EAS #2

The activation comes only a week after the national EAS test. 2 children were abducted from their home in Dallas at 7:00 this evening. You can tell my dislike for the Amber Tone because of the way I speak at the beginning of the video. This does include the EAS Header, the Amber Tone, and the EOM. The following station heard was KSCS 96.3 FM in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. They're a LP-2 station. They got their message from WBAP 820 AM/96.7 FM. They're the designated LP-1 station due to their 50,000 watt AM signal.

The noise is a data burst, sent 3 times, and the 4th is an alert tone. Those honking noises are important for telling other EAS receivers, as well as weather radios, what to do. They're annoying as fuck, but they are absolutely important for getting the info out.

This sound gives me flashbacks to when I it woke me up in the middle of the night. I was seven years old and alone in my room. I would get nightmares for years to come.

i actually remember hearing this when i was a kid around the time. i had a radio i slept with while it was on. i wasnt scared of the regular SAME header tones, but the siren afterwards it was jolted me the fuck up. i just stayed down wide eyed for a solid 5 minutes.
