Watching this on Al Jazeera is surreal. American news media tend to focus more on Israel response and less on the reasons behind Hamas declaration of war. Although it's good to know both American news media and Al Jazeera aren't sugar-coating the tragic loss of life on both sides.

Gaza is an open air prison, a densely populated small space with all directions controlled from land to sea and air by the Israeli army where nothing can leave or enter the country without a fight with the Israeli authorities. As we all know when prisoners are murdered, their rights and property are confiscated by the authorities and no fair justice are  done. Therefore, disgruntled prisoners will form small resistance groups to fight back. But the action taken by the authorities was to kill all the prisoners by bombing each prisoner cell instead of just arresting this small group.

I've now read that so many people are saying that they think that Isreal senior politicians knew about this and let the attacks happen so that they would have a reason to go to war.

I really hope this is not the case - so many poor innocents have and will lose their lives.😢😢😢
