When I was in college I heard a pick-me girl make the exact same "getting nails done" complaint to a group of guys. Immediately, one of the guys takes his shoe off and plants his foot on a desk to show off his sparkly nail polish and his friends made a show of admiring the color and asking where he got it. I'm pretty sure that girl's brain broke she just stood there silently and then walked away.

I knew both types. The pick me girl would put down other girls in class because of her crush on this teacher who was not interested and happily married with kids. Like their marriage survived cancer but this delusional 16 year old girl thought he was her soulmate. She was also obsessed with being seen as petite and small and because im smaller than her she refused to let me speak on my insecurities.

the girl that's one of the guys was really cool and was really inviting. it's not even a disinterest in girly things because she liked her nails done black and dying her hair and stuff but she's the girl that the guys wanted to hangout with. The chill friend that’s cool with everybody.
