I feel like the key factor in someone being a "pick me" is that they either pretend to be weirder than they are or exaggerate AND use that as a tool to put others down for not being as "unique" as they are. If you're just genuinely quirky/blunt/don't like stereotypes/happen to get along better with guys than girls/etc., I don't think that makes you a "pick me" because you're not trying to be the center of attention -- you're just being you. As long as you're also a kind, genuine person who cares for others (like the character in this video), I don't see anything wrong with that. Let's not silence the NICE quirky people by making them feel like they're doing something wrong by existing. (Now, would I be 100% terrified of this person anyway and hide from them because social anxiety, all the while feeling guilty because I know they're just trying to be nice? Absolutely.)

Then again, I'm in my late twenties and am resigned to the fact that I no longer understand half of what the "kids" are talking about these days, so I could be confused and actually have no idea what I'm talking about right now. 😂
