🇯🇵[4K HDR] Walk rural Japan Rice field planting Firefly Oita #japantravel #ruraljapan

I went to Tashibunosho in Bungotakada City, Oita Prefecture, Japan.

You can see a rural landscape that has remained unchanged since the Heian period (A.D.794-1185).

This area has been designated as a Nationally Important Cultural Landscape of Japan as well as a World Agricultural Heritage Site.

The first scene shows the rice field in mid-July. It was lively with dragonflies, frogs, and birds.

The middle part shows the rice planting festival held on June 9th, which follows the ancient tradition.

Lastly, I would like to show you a video of the fireflies taken on June 1st.
