He's 100% correct.
Alcohol dulls ones moral judgement, clouds empathy and promotes apathy.

I am two years sober. I didn't think I could love Bowie more than I did.

Absolutely! I haven't had an alcoholic drink for 23 years, and I watch my contemporaries age...

I stopped drinking in 2012 ( I had quit drugs in the early 1980’s)
It’s completely unnecessary to drink or drug.

I love this man since I was a little girl. 😻 So kindfull every time he talks, so adorable, so friendly with everybody. Never forget the time he saved Iggy Pop from heroin adiction. Only a very good man can lend a hand to a friendly like that. 🤴🏼 Mr Bowie forever

I am soo impressed with him here, not knowing that he beat the addictions. Also, he has never looked better or happier. A true genius artist.

He found his way out of it. See it as an example. Do the same, I did 40 years ago. It is so much more a quality life. Like NIKE says: just do it!

I don't know if I was an alcoholic, but I used to drink a lot, every day starting in the morning, so I guess I was. I stopped years ago. When I think about those times, the thing that shocks me the most is that I thought I was smart and doing smart things, while I can clearly see now that I destroyed everything around me and myself as well...

I was never a heavy drinker, but I saw what alcohol did to my father. and decided many years ago to become a teetotaler. As of last Christmas, I have not had a drink in 41 years, and I've never missed it once.

Bowie was right - it is very hard to maintain relationships with drugs or alcohol. I'm so glad I never subjected my family to that burden.

I am not an alcoholic, but I sometimes, but more and more rarely get drunk. Each time I think I wouldn't have had the stamina to be an alcoholic. It would be too exhausting

The most brilliant and relatable, to me at least,
artist in my lifetime. It's not even close!

It's very strange I have came across this at a time when I have made a decision to stay completely clean and sober, for the exact reasons stated on this video, life's short and easily wasted❤

I think more people are alcoholics than they know. When I lived in the UK it was almost a cultural thing that if you didn’t have work the next morning you had to get shitfaced the night before. So I lived like that literally from 18-30. Then I got a job in China where the culture was very different. They still like a drink but nothing compared to the UK. And I was still drinking twice a week when I had a day off but eventually I thought about cutting down. I’d say maybe just once a week. And on the day I wasn’t supposed to get drunk I’d remind myself all day that I wasn’t going to do it this time. And then as soon as work was over I’d quickly talk myself out of it and as soon as I walked through my front door I’d go to the fridge and crack open a beer. Eventually I got married and had a family and just didn’t have time to get drunk anymore so now I drink maybe every few months. But I was for sure an alcoholic growing up. Just because you don’t drink every day doesn’t mean you’re not an alcoholic. If you really want to know, try stopping for a month and see how hard it is 😅

So impressed with David Bowie. Such a class act. He looked so good here. Just so sad he had to suffer and die. I know that we are all going to die, hopefully not suffer.

Loved it, this is one of the few videos that has to with Bowie and Drugs that doesn't try to make him look like a complete degenerate. Strong soul, strong body, strong mind.

I just wish he’d beaten his addiction to nicotine. The Great man could still be here creating wonderful music.
