I got to see David Bowie in the late 90s. I was a young teen & I talked my Mom into letting me go on a school night. It would have been amazing to see him again 1 more time, but I'll forever love that I got to see him sing! He was a trailblazer on so many things.

I love the way he talks about it and isn’t ashamed of it. It’s there, you did it, nothing will make it go away — may as well own it

Bowie seems like he was a very kind fellow of good heart, with deep honesty and sense of humor.

And we lost another brilliant David today. David Lynch, who Bowie worked with in Twin Peaks. Hate losing these amazing talents.

Working as a chef in London, he came into the restaurant I worked at, anyway when he left I watched him go past the windows and round the corner, so I ran after him to get an autograph and maybe a quick chat, anyhoo although he must get bothered all the time but he was very polite and did a bizarre impression of Stan Laurel and then signed my chefs hat and walked off.

I love the initial laugh and smile. It’s like he was remembering how wild it was 😆

He wrote some absolute classics. "Be My Wife" is my favorite of all his songs. ❤

I've loved David from 9yrs old. About 74ish I was 12yr. He played at Newcastle City hall. All his fans were running beside him as he ran into the stage door from the tour bus. I held his forearm. He looked at me and smiled ❤❤❤

That nadir gave us "Station to Station" which he didn't even remember making. It gave us his most controversial incarnation The Thin White Duke.
And it led to his escape to West Berlin; which gave us "Low", "Heroes" & "Lodger". Have a look at those albums track listings. So many fantastic tracks.. Berlin saved his (& Iggy's) life & was the pinnacle of his creative genius.
"It's not the side effects of cocaine.. I'm thinking that it must be love.. It's too late.." The return of the Thin White Duke throwing darts in lovers eyes..❤

I’m glad he found true love and had that loving family for a long time before he passed. Some who had his lifestyle never get past what those times did to their logic and relationships and never get a peaceful “normal” life and love.

He survived that period and went on to give us another 40 years of his genius
