Spider sense is for sensing danger, his aunt throwing a banana as a joke is hardly a threat and when tony stark threw the object at him, Peter was just proving what stark already knew.

In Spider-Man No Way Home…MJ threw that bread at the other Peter Parker and he explained that it wasn’t a threat and is why he didn’t tingle.

His Spidey sense works against threats and she simply isn't a threat.

He wasn't a father figure when Tony threw the cartridge at him. He was a random billionaire Peter recognized from magazines and the news

in my opinion, during infinity war when he was going to blip, his cells were trying so hard to regenerate when he was dusting away, which takes so much power that he lost his spider sense temporarily. since he got his spider sense back

He died, but then came back, but some of his powers went or became less powerful temporarily

That makes no sense! He’s under a lot of stress during stressful situations like frightening bad guys but it works for him. His spider senses work all the time, even in non threatening situations, but he trust aunt May with his life so he probably lets his guard down around her. That’s why in No way Home she said to help Norman and the other villains so he trusted her intuition, but then he sensed that Norman was up to no good when he realized something was wrong in Happy’s apartment.

It senses potential danger. He know Aunt May would never hurt him, thus his spider-sense doesn't worry about the thrown banana. The scene in which he catches what Stark throws is from the first time they met. Even though he idolizes Stark, he still doesn't know if he can trust him, thus the spider-sense kicking in when Tony throws something. 😊

The father thing doesn't apply to Tony in that moment because they just met. Peter didn't see him that way. If anything, he was super anxious and paranoid around him because he's Peter's hero and his secret identity was discovered.

When Tony threw the thing at Peter, they were weren't even remotely close so Peter's sense could've registered that as a threat

Oh... he still was dumbing down his powers around Aunt May

While Peter was in awe of Tony being there, in his room, it was before he really knew him. He still could have been a threat. That, and if one of your science idols just shows up in your room you are going to be on high alert no mater what. You will be looking for all the cameras because you think you are about to be punked.

He was pissed off that tony outed him as spiderman. He didn’t see him as a father figure at this point, because they just met.

Actually, there's a theory that his spider sense was faulty after infinity war.

He knew he was going to dust but couldn't do anything about it, hence why he said I'm so scared and then said he was sorry before dusting in Tony's arms.

Resolving that trauma was the real theme of Spiderman far from home.

And at the end, when he finally learnt to trust it again, it started working

Peter did not really know Tony Stark at that point. So yes, the Spidy Tingle would have triggered when the web fluid was thrown at him. His aunt was known not to be a threat, and bananas are hardly dangerous. In spider man three, Peter two even said "yes I have the Tingle thing, just not for bread." Another non-dangerous item.

It was actually because was distracted, it's been shown both in comics and movies that peter doesn't really pay attention to his spider sense when he's focused on something else at the moment

stark couldn't have been like a father to peter the first day they met

As funny as that scene was, it served as two plot points. 1. To start calling his sense the Peter Tingle (which is great btw). 2. Foreshadowing how under developed Peter’s training is with his Tingle. Up until the final fight with Mysterio, Peter was constantly analyzing what his sense was picking up. He lives with May and knows that she won’t hurt him. So when he senses her, he’s unbothered. This ends up being his downfall later in the movie. He was ignoring his sense because he’s familiar with certain people. That’s how Mysterio tricked him into thinking he was Nick fury and getting hit by a train. To sum this all up, when Tony threw the web cartridge at him. He caught it because he was in unfamiliar territory. He was in the safety of his room, being grilled by Tony Stark, and Tony figured out where he hid his Spidey onesie. Which dialed up his sense, causing Peter to not ignore anything.

During that scene Peter felt on edge because Tony knew his secret and also stark was kind of a threat because he said he would tell may
