Hearing Jeannette McCurdy introduced as “best-selling author” makes my heart soar. She’s building the legacy she actually wants

Nickelodeon’s logo was a foot for years, as a kid I never understood the foot stuff. Now it just really creeps me out

Jerry Trainor wholeheartedly supporting and praising Jenette Mccurdy is honestly so refreshing to see. they had such great chemistry in the show so it’s great to see they had a somewhat similar friendship behind the scenes as well. the cast of icarly seems so sweet❤️

I said it before and I will say it again Dan is a monster but Nickelodeon/Paramount/Viacom are solely to blame for hiring, firing, re-hiring, re-firing, and basically protecting this man

My heart breaks for all the kids that went through this, I wish them healing and happiness.

McCurdys portrayal of Sam was the main reason I watched iCarly. She killed it. Sad to see that behind the scenes she was miserable.

How has Dan not been sent to prison is Insane. It just exposes the truth that Nickelodeon had creepy men around children and would open them up to lawsuits galore. Makes me wonder who else are they protecting.

This is why im glad my dreams of becoming an actor never happened. As a kid i wanted to be on Disney and Nickelodeon but my mom got a weird vibe from one of the Nickelodeon producers. Especially with Dan Schneider. It wasn't til years later when the allegations came out about Schneider all she said was "i knew this man was sick and evil. My intuition wasn't wrong."

Miranda went to public school through Drake & Josh and her parents made sure she had time to hang out with her non famous friends during Icarly. Acting was treated as a hobby & college was always the goal for her which she did get to do!

Thats crazy she lost her record deal and neutrogena deal from that accident. (Free samples were given at her concerts. I loved that grapefruit stuff )The final Icarly season was filmed atter that and she did some concerts a year after that all happened ....

To anyone who has not read (or listen) Jennette's book yet, please do yourself a favor and buy it right now. 1:03:13 Jerry says it perfectly, it's heartbreaking but brilliant and even funny (although in a ironic and crude way), the end of every chapter felt just like a bitter stab in the stomach, the way Jennette uses foreshadowing and irony in her closing sentences is so brilliant and gut-wrenching it kept me going and going further into the book.
I really hope she keeps exploring her talent at writing, but I mostly hope she can find the peace of mind that she deserves.

I know that tour bus accident affected a lot but I didn’t realize her label dropped her?! That is so messed up. I feel like that could be a lawsuit in itself. Dropping her because she became temporarily disabled. So wrong!

What makes it worse is when you realize that all those scenes took multiple takes to film. Imagine how many times the production made them repeat these.

I can't believe how corrupt so many people in the industry are, and it's astounding they get away with it!! There are predators everywhere.

The fact that Miranda is sane and well is a blessing. I would never let my child act in this industry…

Growing up even as a child watching iCarly or any of these other children’s shows, I always found it weird and strange seeing all the feet scenes and other scenes that were just so unnecessary and even sometimes sexual. I thought it was just me since my twin sister that’s more mature than me didn’t find a problem with the scenes, so I just left it be. Years later on YouTube people began talking about how weird and strange these scenes were to be featured/shown on children’s shows, and it made me realize that I’m not completely crazy and that the scenes were weird and strange and wrong to be in children’s shows.

Everyone has talked about Jeanette McCurdy as they should, but no one seems to talk about Ginger Fox. It was very obvious that Ginger was based on Britney Spears as they parodied her not-so-great televised live performance and her losing custody of her child. I wouldn't be surprised if Dan had a fictional singer based on Amy Winehouse in the drafts because, like Britney, people didn't care to have sympathy for Amy.

While I think Ariana might be a victim too, its low-key sad to see how much information there's out there about how bad of a person she is. The cheating, the rivalry she had with other women that she fed into, how she only cares about herself (what I can tell from Jeanette's accounts). Goes to show how good of a PR team she has.

Edit: I think she is a victim now, and stuff like that can really fuck you up in so many ways. Honestly I just hope she's okay. Her possible SA experience is something completely separate from anything else she's done.

I was about 25/26 when this show came out so this was well past my time. My cousin's son would be the one watching this show when he was 7ish and whenever I came to visit, that's when I'd get to see these shows. Let me just say it was a shock. I'm a child of Nickelodeon's 80s/90s era and the shows then were radically different than the 00s' era. There were so many times I'd turn to my cousin and ask 'This is a kids show? Not a teenage show?' And she'd just nod in understanding and we'd go on about how strange and racy they were especially considering the actual shows aimed at kids from my era. You could see the difference in my generation from the kids and teens shows where in the 00s it was like you either had these 'kid' shows or adult shows on primetime. It's just insane that this was okay and no one had any issues with it.

I cannot believe Jeanette had people around her telling her she wasn’t beautiful. She’s absolutely stunning. She has the cutest face and is so beautiful. Just crazy how blind those things can make beautiful girls
