Addison Timlin, the estranged wife of Jeremy Allen White, gets real about the challenges of raising kids alone in an emotional Mother's Day post. On Instagram, the actress shared a slideshow of snapshots with her two daughters, Ezer and Dolores, whom she shares with her ex. Addison writes in the caption, 'Being a single mom is not how I pictured it. It is so f**king hard.’ The mom of two filed for divorce from Jeremy on May 11. According to the divorce filing obtained by ET, she lists the date of separation as Sept. 1, 2022.

Can we stop calling women who separated from their partners as single moms? No, you are not a single mom. You are a co-parent. A single mom is a mother who has all the responsibility. They don't have a partner and have to raise the child completely by herself. You are a coparent, and she will be fine she has the money to support those kids

Just googled it and Jeremy Allen White is apparently suing for joint custody since the jump and she's been fighting it. So she's not "doing it alone" she's hoarding her kids like a dragon

I don’t know if it’s ignorance or privilege but how do you make statements like this ( in the position she’s in) and be completely oblivious to the fact that it’s going to rub actual single moms the wrong way and even children that grew up in a single parent household? It may not be the fairytale she envisioned, it may not be easy, but it’s not single parenting, it’s co parenting.

She genuinely sounds like someone seeking attention. She’s a co-parent with support and, not sure how she pictured it, but it’s strange to share something that isn’t new as if people don’t already know this.

It’s one thing to share your experience in moments of realization, but her word choice feels strange. Especially considering she never spoke about them when she was with him.

Is it me or I distinguish single mom and single parent? U r alone in the relationship but I’m sure he is the for his kids physically and emotionally and financially. For me there is a difference. Maybe it’s just me.

It's hard dating an actor. Trust issues are to be expected, especially when your relationship is on rocky ground, watching them bond with their castmates, co-star, and fans is tough. All while being the main caretaker of the kids? Not fun. She must've felt lonely before even separating, so naturally she made the decision. Well wishes to her and her kids!

I get it....but let's talk about being lonely and stressed when you have kids and are broke trying to make end meet and can't even afford a babysitter.
I rarely watch this kind of stuff and I don't think I've ever even commented on a celebrity type of thing before. But it's a little frustrating to see that she's probably making a ton of money and still has friends and still can afford to drive a nice car and go on vacation and go anywhere she wants to go and she's talking about being lonely and about how difficult it is taking care of two kids when I'm pretty positive she can afford a babysitter and at least take a breath.
It's just very frustrating for me to listen that.... because I am a single mom and I truly understand what being broke and lonely means.

I and I can't even say that I have it as bad as many moms out there.

I know moms that are single and they've got five and six children and they are trying to survive...literally.

It just irritates me when I see celebrities complaining about things that they have absolutely no right to complain about considering their lifestyle

And she may not personally be a celebrity but she was married to one....same difference.

I wish her the best....and hope the kids don't feel the separation as badly as many kids in the world do when divorce happens.
