The sun is formed by the Z pinch effect on a Birkeland current line that forms this sphere, and not fusion. Fusion only happens when the electromagnetic lines accelerate matter from the surface of the sun upwards, so they fuse in the atmosphere and release all that energy and heat.

How can they possibly distinguish the difference between the heat in its atmosphere and it's surface? I'd confidently bet that this video does NOT explain how

I would think that it's like a flame here on Earth. You stick your finger inside the flame and it's hot. But if you put your finger just over the tip of that same flame, it will burn you faster.
