I saw the podcast you did with this legend that is Steve Saxty on The Drive Torque Podcast with PetrolPed and that was an awesome video. I'd urge the viewers to watch if they haven't already. Getting 2 episodes on your channel is also special. A greatly talented guy. I've learnt so much about design of cars and BMW design especially and its so interesting. Thank you Joe 🎉

Thank you both, I've just ordered the box set as a Christmas present for my son who will be collecting his 1st ever car tomorrow (M240i LCI) from BMW Hindhead

Interesting to see some design elements from the older cars make their way back into the current line-up (e.g. iX / 4 series grille). What strikes me most is that the large vertical grille on the Nagashima 7 series works and integrates reasonably well with the whole front end. Don't see that same care and detail in the modern designs...

Love to see these oils and drawings in a full blown art exhibition! Any plans to do it?

Absolutely LOVE Sunset Orange as a colour. I really wanted it for the G20 we have but couldn't get the spec we have so had to settle for BSM.

Great video, Steve is such a knowledge guy. I've ordered the book set, I just need to persuade my partner that she's bought it me for Christmas 🤣🤣

Can Steve enlighten us about the difference between a cabriolet and a drop head coupe? I once heard that they are not the same, and I don't necessarily mean a folding metal roof, A la SLK... What was the Triumph stag if it was not a Targa?

Highly informative video. But l thought it was Frank Stephenson that designed the BMW X5. He said he sketched while flying on the private jet that was taking him to the BMW HQ meeting.

Imagine if they used the old designs as inspiration for modern BMW's. These new ones have been appallingly horrendous in design and details considering BMW's excellent and unique design history.

Brits are loving the German cars more than their own 😂
