China recently launched the first 18 satellites for its “Thousand Sails” internet megaconstellation with a Long March 6A rocket. These satellites are part of China’s broader plan to deploy up to 14,000 satellites to provide global broadband coverage, similar to initiatives like SpaceX’s Starlink.

Look on the bright side; if aliens ever try to invade they won't be able to get through our impenetrable shield of space garbage.

China needs to think of their own ideas and stop being a waist of space

If the constellation is in a similar orbit to Starlink, the debris from the upper stage will de-orbit soon.
Funny how that bit is left out.

We are hurling headlong towards the Kessler Syndrome and no one appears willing to do anything to stop it. These enormous constellations of satellites pose a great threat because it can produce cascade failures that render space too dangerous for humans and too risky for spacecraft without people onboard. If we continue as we have I fear the Kessler Syndrome is less than a decade away!
