I have such immense admiration for Jordan Peterson and his incredible intellect. His eloquence and thoroughness are truly captivating, even if his speeches tend to be a bit long-winded. It's fascinating to witness his mind in action. However, there are moments that give me pause. It's not so much his reverence for "Western Civilization" or Greek contributions, but rather his portrayal of them as if they're entirely novel and exclusively European. It's disappointing to see this gap in his understanding. Is he aware of the rich heritage from civilizations like Kemet, which laid the foundation for so much of what we celebrate today? Kemet was the mother and Father of Civilization, Science, Philosohy and religion. The Dogan people understood the celestial bodies in their entirety 1000s of years ago. Or how Andalusia saved Europe from its barbsrianism and ushered in the Renaissance. The wisdom passed down from ancient times, the cross-cultural exchanges that shaped history? I wonder if he's explored these narratives, delved into the works of scholars like Dr. Cheikh Anta Diop. Perhaps it could enrich his message and offer a more nuanced perspective on the past. After all, his brilliance deserves nothing less than an accurate portrayal of history.

I think I can agree kn what he is saying. Maybe that was the base of western success and hegemony. It was. Now China, Korea and Japan are much more industrious and smart.
I wonder whether this advantage is really rooted somehow deeply into our very own western culture or whether it just happened that smart and industrious people could thrive in the west better than they could elsewhere. After all Peterson’s view is the one of a westerner .
I also watched videos of Sadhguru from India. He comes up with some smart wisdom that everybody could agree on and then he ends the video with staying that Hindu culture always had that wisdom and that we in our estranged modern society should rediscover those truth of Indian culture.
So, in this aspect, i find Peterson a Little bit Sadhguru-like.

We can't say that capitalism is a flawless system as well, because not everybody is born equal and all they have to do is aim higher and things will work their way, that's simply not true. I might agree that capitalism could be the most proper way that exists in our time.

It just occured to me, if you popularize the meme that the legacy and tradition of European culture is to dismiss other cultures as inferior and be infected with the conquerers neuroses, when white children inevitably want to connect to a notion of their ancestral history, that’s what they will align themselves with. Hence you see alt right men thinking their unlettered thoughts of bitterness stand for European heritage, when fine gentlemen like William Cowper would take their character as the very image of corruption. The poor fellows are suffering! All the joy in the world comes from wishing wellbeing for others, all the suffering comes from wishing pleasure for yourself; after all. Wishing pain and embarrassment for others is moral fried butter.

Much better to show them the wonderful truth about the hair-raising freedom of Cowper and Mozart, and of great philanthropists who thought clearly and were motivated by what naturally occurred to them as important, like the fitness of the way of life of anonymous strangers from foreign lands in whom they recognized those same basic and sacred attributes: the love of art song, the integrity of the social unit, and the commitment to a great good.

Of course these children will grow out of the childish obsession with ethnicity and will take more interest in the values themselves which will lead them to analyse the geometry of a Trichy Sankaran korvai as well as the schematic concinnity of a Haydn Scherzo, and to glean purity of mind from ‘I Have a Dream’ as well as the ‘Bodhicaryavatara’ etc.

🏛️I consider western civilization the Mediterranean region, Greek and Roman Empire, their democratic politics🗳️, Roman Catholic religion⛪, and Latin language🗣️. The countries that kept those traits like Spain, France, Italy and Potugal. Finally the countries that were colonized by these western world countries in Latin America.

Other European countries like England, , Germany, etc northern European countries, are secondary western civilization because they basically adopted mostly from Mediterranean civilizations, they write in Latin script but not speak a Latin based language they, practice Christianity but not Catholicism and they adopted Greek democracy. I dont consider countries that dont use Latin or Greek script as western civilization, like Russia and Ukraine for the exception of Ireland which practice Catholicism, write in Latin script and are a democracy, they just lack Mediterranean culture

🌎In the Amerias, Latin America was colonized first1️⃣ and thus has been a western civilization region longer than U.S, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, which were colonized later 🌏

The problem of Western culture is that is not very flexible and believes that reality is real. Critical theory is really important.
