James Webb telescope an ‘absolute game changer’

Swinburne University Associate Professor Ivo Labbe says the James Webb telescope has been 25 years in the making and is an “absolute game changer”.

He said astronomers are using the telescope to try and find the first stars and galaxies which formed after the Big Bang.

“It is really revolutionising the entire field of research of our cosmic origins,” he told Sky News Australia.

Wow, can't even take a satellite image of the Earth and yet can take an image of entire galaxies light years away. Something ain't right. Man went to the moon and someone was there to film it from the outside?

This is just a massive PR campaign to excuse the delays and the ever increasing costs for this telescope. It's good, but it's not revolutionary. It's been up there for a long time and no breakthroughs are happening. Sort of the same that happen with Large Hadron collider - LHC even though it's amazing thing has hardly found anything revolutionary (sort of confirming Higgs was okay, but for that we didn't really need LHC).

and yet as they look further and further in time all they can see is more and more galaxies, more pinpricks of light. Gets you really thinking their whole notion of when the Universe began. I say they will never know as it is endless or at least beyond our observable universe at any rate.

Ahahah, good luck trying to find the first stars....!!! JWSP disproved Lemaitre's BB theory but it seems that he doesn't care too much about that.
Mainstream will only ´´bend´´ around that and find some new mathematical solutions for that big ´´oops´´...!!!
