Kenya, Between Flood and Burning Sun | Deadliest Journeys

Kenya is developing at breakneck speed, but behind the buildings of the capital, Nairobi, and the savannah, so popular with tourists, lies a very different reality. Climate change is splitting the country in two. In the north, entire regions are suffering from severe drought, while in the south, populations are threatened by rising sea levels. The road network is littered with bad tracks.

Everyday life anywhere in the world demands courage, and Kenya is not an exception.

It's a positive that Kenyans work creatively around obstacles. Those kids rowing ancient canoes will go to university and bring glory to God and another milestone of innovation to Kenya.

There a few areas in Kenya 🇰🇪 where we still have bad roads. This areas are very remote and scarcely populated but 80% of Kenya is accessible through good tarmac roads. Anyway hio ya fish hapo wametupima.

In kenya we are all actors and we can easily tell a scripted documentary 😂😂😂😂
That trailer scene and the guy transporting 2 fish with a whole lorry is a joke.
Also the same video was here sometime back

I am kenyan and a few things to NOTE about THIS Film
1. There's absolutely nowhere in kenya kids have to raft their way to school in crocodile infested waters and even those two shots were taken separately.
2. No kenyan kids will stop your car from leaving until you pay them for the push, our kids are happy to help with smiles n an open heart.😊
3. Most of the shots n stories were greatly scripted and exaggerated, no sane kenyan business man will use a truck to transport a handful of fish, film director couldn't even fake it the whole way to get a trackfull of fish, so he's cheap too😅
4. Shoddy work but kenyans see right through you.

Bravo to the writers of this little sketch. I mean you really tried making a documentary but fiction is your strongest suite.

It's a sad state of living in the mother land, Kericho is one of the most fertile and producing regions in our country but people are so poor, damn shame !

I know we kenyans are made of metal, but stop scripting this things, how does it make economic sense to transport that amount of fish in a lorry, get someone who can do a better script

The real problem with these areas is that their are no permanent residents. These guys are nomads . You will build roads, hospitals and schools, you come next year, and no one is there . The government has tried building infrastructure in their migratory corridors but, they are not consistent because the weather, and traditions and thrill of adventure makes them change their routes every time.
