We celebrated a night of heart health information and African American heritage through music at our 9th annual Heart & Soul Fest.
Featured guest and performers included: WLIB and WBLS radio personality Liz Black, “The People Plezzer” DJ Mitch, R&B Group Status IV, Gospel Singer/Songwriter Dave James, tenor saxophonist Ray Blue, and Englewood Hospital and Medical Center cardiologist Dr. Duane Bryan. The event also honored 92-year-old veteran and cardiac patient, Austin Powlis, who is a recipient of the WWII French Legion Medal of Honour, and music mogul Leland Robinson, Sr.
